Top 5 coolest thing I have ever been a part of was getting to baptize this girl last week. It honestly refueled my soul. I’ve been lucky enough to have a pretty exciting life, but this ranks up there. @mooreizabel , it’s so impressive to see how steadfast you are in your beliefs and how you carry that out daily with your love for people. I can’t explain how much of an honor it was to be in that tub with you. Your faith, my friend, is going to move mountains. I promise you this generation is made up of good people. I notice every time I have to pee.
I notice every headache.
I notice how hungry I get.
I notice every cramp,
every tingle,
every ache
every tiny little thing.
I notice it all. It’s so strange how aware you become to every little thing that happens with your body when you’re walking through an infertility journey. Every time I feel something that feels strange or new, which I may have not even noticed 6 months ago, I automatically get in my feelings and try to figure out “what it means”. It’s a dang rollercoaster.
Some days are easier, some days are hard.
Either way, God is always good. I know it’s hard mama. I know some days it’s hard to get out of bed.
I know some days there’s just too much housework.
I know some days you just don’t have the energy to cook another meal.
I know some days you wonder how you’re going to survive.
I know some days it’s hard to take care of yourself, let alone littles.
I know some days your world seems so tiny. It’s easy to become overwhelmed. I see you because I am you. But you want to know something? While you feel unworthy and your world seems so small, to your kids, you are THE ENTIRE WORLD. Everything about you is perfect.
And everything revolves around you. You are their home,
Their comfort,
Their safe haven,
Their caregiver.

410 days. 410 days since our families have been

410 days. 410 days since our families have been connected as one big unconventional family. Yes, families. When we decided to foster, we didn’t just commit to the children that would be walking through our home. Nope. We committed to the whole crew. Ok, I think I’m ready. (Clears throat) In the

Ok, I think I’m ready. (Clears throat) In the last 6 months, I have: -been walking through a pandemic
-taught the girls school from home
-gotten seasons of our lives cancelled
-found out I have a tumor on my ovaries
-stepped away from my job
-went back to school full time
-found out either the word tumor was a bit much or Jesus shrunk that ish
-found out we have infertility struggles
-mentally struggled with the guilt I’ve felt for wanting biological kids
-mentally struggled with how people “might” think our infertility struggles change our foster mission (It doesn’t)
-gotten the news of a failed IUI
-walked through 2 court cases for the girls
-Been trying time be super intentional with time as the girls started school again
-walked with our youngest as she has had surgery But you know what is wild? What’s wild is that I have seen God’s handwriting over every single bit of this year. I have seen it in the overabundance amount of Grace he is offering me as I question his every move. I’ve seen it in the responses from friends after I respond to several week old text messages. I see it in the girls every time they pause mid-sentence to tell me they love me. I’ve seen it in the 50+ inbox messages I have received from people checking in on me when I ghosted this last May because everything felt so heavy. I have seen it when we got to celebrate my nieces and nephews birthdays, seen my sister step so gracefully into motherhood, and all the new babies born in my life. I have seen it in the way the girl’s mom always reaches out on the days I need someone to check in. This life has so many seasons, this one just happens to be a mess- a beautiful, intentional mess. I don’t understand everything right now, but I am working on being ok with that if it is for his glory. I promise so share more intentionally. We pulled up to the school, ⠀ waited in the drop

We pulled up to the school, ⠀
waited in the drop off line to get our temps taken,⠀
And something happened....⠀
⠀
This girl stuck her head out the window and started yelling, “hey, I’m W” to everyone she saw. ⠀
⠀
Y’all, I can’t even. 😭😭😭😭⠀
⠀
Maybe that seems small to you⠀
Maybe it seems insignificant,⠀
But it’s not. ⠀
Not for her. ⠀
⠀
You see, the first night she was with us, she wouldn’t say a word to us. The first ball game, she hid under my seat. When I used to drop her off at therapy, she would sob on the floor for 45 minutes. ⠀
⠀
Now here we are, not even a year later and look at her- all confident in who she is and not scared of anything. ⠀
⠀
I pray constantly over this one.⠀
That she continues to be so confident in Christ, that others notice. That she use her spunky spirit to make others feel joy. That she continues to thirst for knowledge. That she never shrink herself for anyone or anything. And that she is always continues to be so caring that everyone feels like home. ⠀

You’ll move mountains, big girl. Mark my words.⠀
